During snow events, residents are encouraged to bring garbage cans to the curb.  If you are unable to bring them to the curb, driveways must be cleared, and they must have a clear path to their garbage cans.

The Department of Public Works facility is located at Old Mill Rd. The DPW office is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The Department of Public Works is responsible for the operation and functioning of the Borough’s municipal infrastructure (roadways, storm drainage, 40 miles of sanitary sewerage including 5 Pump stations, recycling and solid waste collection and disposal). There are over 175 Borough streets, comprising more than 40 miles of roadway infrastructure.

The Department provides for the maintenance, repair and improvement of the existing infrastructure.

Please note that the ecology centre can no longer accept propane tanks. 

Leaf season begins October 17th you may put leaves to the curb in piles, no sticks, no rocks, no bags

Last day to put leaves out is December 10th

Please do not flush baby wipes or cleaning wipes, please discard in your regular garbage

Ecology Facility 

The Ecology Facility is open to Woodcliff Lake Residents with a valid ecology sticker ONLY. To obtain a sticker to use the Ecology Facility, please visit the Borough Hall, 188 Pascack Rd. and they will issue you a sticker. Please bring the vehicle registration, insurance and $15 fee. To request a sticker by mail, send copies of the documents mentioned above and a check for $15 (checks payable to Borough of Woodcliff Lake) to Borough Hall:  188 Pascack Rd.  Attn:  Ecology Sticker

The Ecology Facility is Located on Old Mill Rd. behind the Old Mill Pool

Hours of Operation are: 

Wednesday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Closed Holidays)
Saturday & Sunday 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Closed Holidays)

Branches and Brush

Sanitation can ONLY pick up brush that is cut in 6ft lengths and tied or placed in garbage cans for pick up on your scheduled clean-up day. You may also bring brush directly to the Ecology Facility during regular operating hours only. No Grass Pick up
